Privacy Policy of PlayWellMinds
Last Updated: June 27, 2024
Introduction
At PlayWellMinds, accessible from www.playwellminds.com and our mobile app, protecting your personal data is one of our top priorities. This privacy policy ("Policy") explains what data we collect and how we use it.
Data Controller
The data controller for the processing of your personal data is PlayWellMinds AB. reg. no. 559466-5530. For questions related to this Policy, please contact us via info@playwellminds.com.
Information We Collect
Personal data: We collect personal data such as name, email address and telephone number only when you voluntarily provide such information, such as when contacting support.
PlayWellMinds anonymously collects the following types of personal and health-related data that you enter directly into the App:
Mood ratings: Numeric emotional check-ins (e.g., how you are feeling on a scale of 1–5), recorded with a timestamp.
Gratitude journal entries: Your free-text responses to prompts such as "What are the 3 best things today?", stored with the date they were entered.
Thought journal entries: Free-text notes you write about your thoughts or your day.
Self-evaluations: Your answers to structured reflection questions (e.g., about your mental attitude, preparation, performance, and how you felt afterwards).
Situation analyses (CBT exercises): Your answers to guided cognitive-behavioral exercises covering the triggering situation, your automatic thoughts, the emotions you experienced, your behavioral reaction, and a planned positive step.
Mindfulness session logs: Records of when and for how long you completed a Calm session.
Personal plans and goals: Free-text entries you create in the Plan and Goal features.
Celebrations: Notes you record about personal wins or achievements.
Why we collect this data: This information is used solely to provide you with personalized content, track your progress within the App and generate your monthly wellbeing report. It is not sold to third parties and is not used for advertising.
How it is stored: All wellbeing data is stored in Firebase Firestore under a randomly generated anonymous user ID.
Aggregated statistics: We derive aggregate, non-personally-identifiable counts (e.g., total number of feelings logged across all users globally) to power the community "World" feature. These counts cannot be traced back to individual users.
Technical and Log File Information: PlayWellMinds follows a standard procedure for using log files, both on the web and in the app. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosts do this and are part of the hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. The purpose of the information is to analyse trends, administer the website and app, track users' movement on the website and app, and gather demographic information.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 12. If we become aware that a child has provided personal information without parental consent, we will take immediate steps to delete that information. If you, as a guardian, believe that your child provided such information on our website, we strongly recommend that you contact us immediately and we will use our best efforts to remove such information from our records.
