It is important to train your mental strength in parallel with physical training both in sports and in everyday life, such as school and social situations. Life contains both wonderful and challenging events, and with the help of knowledge and training, we can develop strategies to handle these better. Many call this mental training, and just like when it comes to physical training or learning something in school, it requires regularity and repetition.
We are now taking this to a new level, and creating "Teen Mental Fitness," with a unique app and program that helps young people proactively learn to become mentally stronger.
Hundreds of studies have shown that mental training can improve both our performance and our well-being. The PlayWellMinds program consists of seven steps that use unique exercises based on established and empirical methods that help you develop tools for mental strength that can contribute to you feeling better more often, performing better more often, and when you don’t feel good, you understand that it is normal and transient, and that you will soon feel better again. We call these tools "life tools" because you can use them in all areas of your life, and they are also beneficial for you as an adult.
The exercises in the seven steps are designed to build mental strength and self-awareness and an approach based on realistic optimism.
We who stand behind PlayWellMinds, as well as developed the app and the program are:
PlayWellMinds is born out of a belief that we need to do better for our youth. Our vision is clear: a future of resilient, happy, mentally strong teenagers ready for all that life has in store.
We believe that the best way to achieve that vision is to equip teens early on with more knowledge, tools and training to proactively strengthen their mental abilities. We call it ‘Teen Mental Fitness’.

Just as our muscles need regular physical training to strengthen and develop, our brain needs regular training to develop the mental strength and strategies to handle life's ups and downs. Further, like physical training or learning something new in school, it requires consistency and repetition over time to have real impact and make it stick.
PlayWellMinds encompasses a seven step program based on proven scientific methods; exercises designed to build mental strength, self-awareness and an attitude of realistic optimism; and a unique app for individual, ongoing practice in a relatable, fun and engaging way.
The Teen Mental Fitness approach provides fundamental 'life tools' that can contribute to feeling better more often, performing better more often, and understanding that when you are not feeling well, it is normal and transient, and you will soon feel better again.
